This is the Event Processing Wiki.
It's an open repository of information about the field of Event Processing, or Complex Event Processing (CEP)
Everybody is invited to add information relevant to the event processing field.
Event Processing (EP) contains sub disciplines such as Complex Event Processing (CEP) and Event Stream Processing (ESP). Vendors are also known to use variations on the theme with their own terms to describe their products in this area.
The EP field is inspired by research in database technology, information fusion, network monitoring, active (ECA) rule systems and other areas which all contribute to the current state of art.
Currently only a few (in the tens) commercial vendors are active in EP.
