  • 2002 - First version of ruleCore CEP Server created.

  • 2003 - StreamBase founded.
  • 2004 - SENACTIVE founded.
  • 2004, Oct - First version of Esper released.
  • 2005, Apr - Progress Software acquires Apama
  • 2006, May - Investors of iSpheres backs out and the company is shut down and assets eventually bought by Avaya.
  • 2007, July - BEA acquires a license of Esper and creates an own fork known as BEA EventServer
